Jamie Edwards is a Welsh radio and television presenter and producer, most famous for his celebrity interviews.

He started out as an actor and singer, with stage performances in Grease (playing Danny Zuko), Hello Dolly (as Barnaby) and Smike (as Smike).

In 1999, Jamie moved to London and became a showbiz reporter for talkSPORT, covering events like The Brit Awards and International Star Wars Day, as well as celebrity sporting events such as Soccer Six and The Legends Match between England & Germany.

He moved to Magic FM in 2006, and took charge of The More Music Breakfast Show with Neil “Doctor” Fox, as Executive Producer. He also took on running the station’s entertainment content, and continued his role as showbiz reporter, securing interviews with the likes of Julia Roberts, Nicole Kidman, Sylvester Stallone and Madonna from the red carpets of their film premieres.

In 2008, Jamie took over running the flagship interview show on Magic, ("Magic Meets”) and began to host the show in turn with the established presenters. His warmth and personable manner soon made him a big hit with his guests and he was able to secure exclusive interviews with such stars as Dame Julie Andrews, Reece Witherspoon, Danny DeVito, Robin Williams, Lady Antebellum and Rod Stewart.

As well as hosting Magic Meets, Jamie covered various music radio shows on the station, was a regular voice on Kim Wilde’s Secret Songs, and The World According To Rick Astley, and supplied a constant stream of celebrity interviews for the Magic FM website. Never afraid to keep his guests and audiences entertained, Jamie often finds himself dressed up as part of these interviews. He’s stripped to a muscle suit for Matthew McConaughey and Channing Tatum while talking about their film Magic Mike, wore a full Stacee Jaxx costume to chat with Tom Cruise about Rock Of Ages, became part of the Men In Black with Will Smith, and to promote the film Nativity 2, dressed as a Christmas carol singer for David Tennant (who was so enamoured by Jamie's performance, proceeded to record it on his own mobile phone during the feature!)

Jamie’s most infamous interview however, came in the summer of 2013, when he came to meet the Hollywood actor, Bruce Willis. The interview went viral within hours, and made Jamie the most talked about interviewer in the world at that time. It led to appearances on radio and TV channels in countries as far flung as South Africa, Finland, New Zealand, Australia, and Canada, as well as America’s CNN news network.

During his career, Jamie has also covered the London 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games, has done TV reviews for Sky, film previews for Cineworld, hosted the World Hip Hop Championships, presented at The World Travel Awards in Egypt, and is the regular host of Global Smurf Day, an event that has given Jamie a Guinness World Record as part of the largest global gathering of people dressed up as Smurfs!

It’s certainly no secret that Jamie loves a good challenge. From growing up watching presenters like Peter Duncan on Duncan Dares, it’s given him a taste for the impossible. He has completed two London Marathons, and took part in a wing-walking event for the charity Cash For Kids. He is looking forward more adrenaline fuelled challenges ahead.

Since 2012, Jamie has been helping to promote Country Music in the UK, and remains a keen fan of the genre. He has also served as Disney expert for radio & TV talk shows, with his extensive knowledge of the company and films it’s produced.
